in 2002 or so, I was a founding member off The Sudden Radio Project, a radio theatre show at KBOO radio in
Portland, OR. With the support of listeners, KBOO decided to
make the show monthly, and eventually inserted other radio theatre
programs in the schedule as well, making the age-old art a part of the
weekly lineup. Although Im now a long way from Portland, props to SRP as they continue to bust eardrums
every last Monday of the month at 11PM on 90.7 fm in PDX. Heres a link to their best of 2006 show. I'm
posting audio of some of the Sudden Radio archives below--these are all
pieces which I wrote and acted in between 2002 and 2004. (see bottom of page for rules for use)
***WARNING!!!! KBOO SUPPORTS AND PRACTICES FREE SPEECH. SOME OF THESE MAY BE OFFENSIVE, AND AS THEY AIRED AFTER 10 PM, MAY CONTAIN FOUL LANGUAGE.****

GRANDMA PART 1--a semi-autobiographical version of my Grandma Ruth's last days on earth
GRANDMA PART 2--the conclusion of the story
PLAYGROUND--A few HCES heads will remember this afternoon back in the early 80's. The story is 95% true, including the nasty part.
SUPERCOP--Kind of like Robocop, but worse.
OLD HOOKER--Shes been around, and she tells a mean story.
ALIENS--a philosophical discussion between just landed extraterrestrials and god.
DEAR DIARY--Several women with different stories to tell.
BARFIGHT--A few drinkers drunken rambling.
CONVERSATIONS BETWEEN EMOTIONS--a 5 part series.
HAPPY ANGER PLEASURE WONDER YOUTH AND JOY
DAVE'S EMAILS--I didn't write this one, but its great. This is for real--no joke.
ON THE PHONE WITH GWB--you know who I'm talkin' bout. Its his
fault, I didn't ask him to leave a message on my answering machine.
A silly 4 part series.
WHO? LEGALIZE IT PIZZA FAT
WENDY'S WEDDING--a
fictionalized excuse for why i didn't make it to my friend Wendy's
wedding in Mexico. This piece was supposed to be her "sorry I
never made it" present, but I still haven't sent it to her. CONGRATS
WENDY!!!
